 FIA Kiln Room Project
In Summer 2005, the Claire M. White Studio Wing got a new look. Led by artist-in-residence Craig Hinshaw, over 450 people created 1,390 textured stoneware tiles for the exterior wall of the Kiln Room. The tiles were installed in four separate panels just in time for the the grand reopening of the Flint Institute of Arts after a $12.6 million dollar renovation project.

Families find their tiles on the wall outside the Flint Institute of Art Kiln room.
